Birds

Wednesday 2/19 cold but not as windy this morning.

Many hungry birds spotted earlier - House Sparrow, Blue Jay, Northern Cardinal, Chickadee, WB Nuthatch, WT sparrow, Tufted Titmouse, Red bellied Woodpecker.

I have seen a couple of social media posts on what i suspected - we are having out coldest winter in nearly a decade here in New England.

Birdfeeding

Today is partly cloudy and cold. It got down to 8°F last night. It snowed a little, just a light dusting, but very sparkly. Much of that has already melted off today.

I fed the birds. I've seen a large mixed flock of sparrows and house finches, a large flock of starlings, a large flock of mourning doves, a pair of cardinals, and a squirrel high in a tree.

I put out water for the birds.

EDIT 2/19/25 -- I did a bit of work around the patio.

I put out more seed for the birds.

I am done for the night.
