Thirteen Ways of Looking: Poems About Birds

I actually have two series that relate to birds.

Feathered Nests is science fiction about birdlike aliens, inspired by ruffs (a type of shorebird).

Fledgling Grace is spiritual fantasy about people sprouting wings like angels, in which the type of bird wings has meaning.

Want more? I'll be hosting a Poetry Fishbowl in my blog on Tuesday, April 2 with a theme of "Screw this, I'm out of here!" You can prompt for more of a favorite series or something totally new. I'm happy to do nature poetry and birds basically live by the above theme.

What are some of your favorite bird poems?

I'm so delighted to hear that! I've gotten a lot of benefit from various links you've posted and it's nice to be paying that back in some way.
