local turkeys

Walking home from the supermarket, I saw a group of three turkeys--two adults and one poult--and then, half a block away, a single male turkey.

I reported them to the Massachusetts wild turkey survey.

Otherwise, I've been seeing and hearing robins, mostly.

Today is sunny and warm.

I fed the birds.  I've seen a small flock of house finches and a female cardinal.

I put out water for the birds and watered a few plants.

There was a skipper butterfly on the flowers in the container garden.  Usually I see those out in the prairie garden as they are grass-lovers.

EDIT 7/22/23 -- I cut weeds around the yard by the house.

EDIT 7/22/23 -- I picked up cut branches from the prairie garden.

EDIT 7/22/23 -- I watered the septic garden and plants in the yard by the house.

EDIT 7/22/23 -- I watered the telephone pole garden, wildflower garden, and notch in the prairie garden.

EDIT 7/22/23 -- I watered the oak seedlings, tulip bed and its grass patch.

EDIT 7/22/23 -- I cut branches around the prairie garden. 

Fireflies are coming out.  Bats are swooping along the driveway and under the trees.  :D

As it is now dark, I am done for the night.
