Birdfeeding

Here are pictures of my birdfeeders from November. There are two clusters, one in the forest garden to the east and one on the south side of the house. This way, if something scares the birds away from one cluster, they can move to the next.

This is the metal feeder. It has an umbrella over a small tray. It stands in the forest garden, just east of the house.

Also in the forest garden is the thistle sock, hanging from the honeysuckle bush.

The hopper feeder hangs from one of the larger trees in the forest garden.

This is a plain suet cage. The one I'm currently using has a copper roof, so it can be hung as an upside-down feeder to discourage sparrows and starlings. It's on a dead branch of the birdgift tree just south of the house. The fly-through feeder is to the right.

The fly-through feeder hangs on an apricot tree just south of the house. The suet cage is off to the left.

Nice! Is the metal feeder at an angle so any rain and snow runs off?

Oo a thistle sock! Do the squirrels get into that one?
