Select Seeds Order
Here is my order for Select Seeds. This is the third of three paper catalogs.

Old-Fashioned Climbing Petunia (1 plant) $8.95
Sweet Violet 'Royal Wedding' white (15 seeds) $4.50
Ageratum 'Red Bouquet' (4,700 seeds) $3.25
'Balsam' Impatiens (100 seeds) $3.25
Phlox 'Twinkle Tall Mix' (125 seeds) $3.25
Lantana 'Cherry Sunrise' (1 plant) $8.95
Joe Pye Weed Atropurpureum (1 plant) $9.95
Ozark Coneflower (24 seeds) $3.50
Yarrow 'Flowerburst Red Shades' (50 seeds) $5.00
The petunia is what my grandmother used to call "yesterday-today-and-tomorrow" because its flowers start almost white, turn pink, then darken to a medium lavender purple, very pretty. So far this one hasn't reseeded, though, and the original version was growing in sidewalk cracks because the seed would drift from gardens.
We have wild violets in purple, purple-and-white, and a pale pearly blue. Plus one yellow in the forest garden. I'm hoping to get white ones established. Also, sweet violets are edible. :D
The impatiens are supposed to have the elastically dehiscent seedpods that explode when touched. That's something else my grandmother used to grow, that I loved, but haven't seen in modern cultivars.
Lantana is a go-to favorite that I put in the barrel garden, and sometimes other pots if I can find more of them, because the butterflies love it. Sometimes hummingbirds go for it too.
Joe Pye weed and Ozark coneflower are native species. I have several other coneflowers but this one is different. They are popular with pollinators and, later, seed-eating birds.
