Same here, I think, the birds don't need the feeders so much with the mild, mild open weather. The cardinals came for the rose hips, and the robins came because I was edging the back sidewalk and they always come if I dig things up.

Wrens are so bold and cheeky! I was once yelled at extensively from a distance of about a foot by two winter wrens (this was in California in February). We finally realized that they had a nest nearby and moved on so as not to upset them further.

I also once encountered a migrating flock of house wrens while walking my cat on a leash. They let out a barrage of sound like tiny angry teletypes, just amazing in its reach and volume. They didn't fly at the cat, but he prudently decided not to stick around and moved to the other side of the yard. They went right on yelling for about ten minutes. Nobody was going to come near their bush if they had any say.
